Description: This is a stunningly detailed, extra large sized springerle cookie mold depicting the Nativity. The original was carved in 1654, a work of art measuring 13" in diameter. When not being used to create fondant cake toppers, a single cookie, or smaller cookies focusing on the different sections, this mold displays beautifully on the wall or as a star in your collection.
The center scene features Mary kneeling above the infant Jesus in the manger. The Magi, donkeys, and Joseph look on. The date "1654" is carved underneath. The outer border consists of six different animals, each in their own crescent shaped section: lamb, goat, dog, rabbit, goose, and cow. All of these animals are referenced in the Bible, In between animal sections are various fruits and flowers representing life, rebirth, and blessings.
